Music

Ambient records, and instruments you can play without a keyboard.

I make ambient electronic music, and most of the software I write for it solves one problem: making an instrument or plugin fully playable with a mouse alone, without pretending a mouse is a keyboard in disguise.

That's the idea behind OK Studio, my line of accessibility-first audio software. None of it assumes a piano keyboard or a hardware controller on the desk, and none of it treats the mouse as a compromise standing in for the real interface. The mouse is the interface.

Keys, written in C++, is a mouse-only playable MIDI keyboard, shipping as a VST3 plugin and as a standalone app.

A few other OK Studio instruments are still private. Hex is a playable isomorphic harmonic-table MIDI keyboard. Contour is a mouse-only MIDI drawing plugin: draw a melodic contour and it comes back as scale-locked MIDI. Undertow is a mouse-only bassline generator VST3. Muse is a personal MIDI style model, trained on your own corpus instead of a generic one. And there's a Windows app for learning piano on a MIDI keyboard, with real-time accuracy tracking, routed through Ableton.

Not everything is about playing notes with a mouse. Shutter is an open-source Max for Live device that closes every open plugin window in Ableton Live with one click. It's a free alternative to Plugin Closer.
